After a short break of about a month, the SuperEnduro World Championship finally resumes its battle for speed and glory this coming weekend. The said event will be held at the Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena in Malaga, Spain. Leading the pack of aggressive and victory-eyed group of riders is the Californian champion Cody Webb who had already won a total of four races out of the potential six races. Just right behind Webb is the up to date second placer Taddy Blazusiak who only had a 13 point gap from Webb. The rookie of the year, Billie Bolt is in third place with a margin of 26 points behind Blazusiak.
This round of the event might be a significant battle between the riders as this will decide on who will gain the upper hand for the remaining rounds. The riders that have their great shots at winning or turning the tide of the games are Blazusiak, Billy Bolt , Cody Webb , Alfredo Gomez, Manuel Lettenbichler and of course the reigning champion Colton Haaker. As for Webb, if he continues with his revved up performance, he will surely grab the final victory. Jonny Walker, being in seventh place at the moment had to step up his game as he had experienced two disappointing GPs and is already eager to start the round with a fierce competitive spirit.
The Guerrero brothers are expected to be the crowd’s favorite as this round’s will be held in their home turf. In addition to the said riders, there are Alex Salvini, Blake Gutzeit and Benjamin Herrera who will prove that they are a force to be reckoned with and will be page turners of the round. David Knight will also return as a stand-in for Danny McCanney at Gas Gas.
A close and tough battle is also expected in the Junior Class at the Spanish Grand Prix. Although it is frequently a level playing ground and regularly wide-open for the podium, two men appear to have the eagerness and the determination to take the top spot; Kevin Gallas and Kyle Flanagan. At the moment, the German contender is 12 points to the lead of the South African. Fellow riders Diego Herrera, Emil Juszczak, Will Hoare and Oskar Kaczmarczyk could hinder the fight between the two.
Ignacio Fernandez aka “Nachete” is the crowd’s favorite following the successful game in Germany and a complex opening round in Poland. With this wins, he definitely earned the respect and adoration of the fans and spectators. The Spanish rider has all the skills and ability to be a tough contender and will be aiming for victory.
