The European Enduro Championship enters the second half of the season this weekend in Skövde, Sweden with Italian Alessandro Battig leading the overall series.
The second half of The European Enduro Championship will start this weekend in Skövde, Sweden. Alessandro Battig, the Italian3/50 Enduro team rider leads the ranking overall in the series leading by 14 points.
Battig currently leads overall by 14 points ahead of the French Junior, Hugo Blanjoue. Both riders are competing also in the European and EnduroGP series. KTM rider Blanjoue, motivated after a day win at round two in Bacau.
In a capable position are the Swedes Oliver Nelson and Martin Larsson in their home-competition: Nelson, who in the championship of the four-stroke class over 250 cc is in second position, behind the overall-leader Battig and Larsson, who in the championship of the two-stroke class over 250 cc is placed second behind the Czech Jiri Hadek.
Anders Erikkso will be one of the major guest riders. Living in the region, the seven-time and 45-year old champion will compete in senior class.
The third of four rounds in the 2018 schedule is based from paddock at the Skövde Arena where, for the first time ever in the European Championship, there will be a prologue on Friday evening.
Three laps starts from 9:00am with different stages to be competed. Two cross tests and an enduro test. The European Champion, for the first time, will be held in a prologue Friday evening.
More than 180 riders are competing in the different classes including a healthy entry in the women’s class.
